A state of -art pathology lab over 2000 sq ft area dedicated for histopathology with specialized work in neuropathology & immunohistochemistry.

Shanti Pathology Laboratory Cancer Diagnosis & Research Center is founded by Dr. Meghana Chougule in 2005.

We, here in Shanti Pathology Laboratory Cancer Diagnosis & Research Center, focus on providing quality diagnostic healthcare services to our patients. We believe in providing precise reports to our patients which will help them get accurate treatment, make them aware of their health status and accomplish good health.

We have a spacious, well ventilated waiting area for the patients. The turnaround time (TAT)of our reporting is approximately 2 to 3 hours (excluding some special reports).

All the patients are registered by their phone number and the patients get their reports on sms/e-mail/wapp link on their mobile phone.

Dr. Meghana V. Chougule M.D. (Pathology Goldmedal)

Dr. Meghana Chougule is the chief consultant pathologist at Shanti Pathology Laboratory Cancer Diagnosis & Research Center, Maharashtra. She has completed MBBS from Government Medical College, Miraj. She stood first and bagged a gold medal in MD in Pathology examination in Shivaji University. She was felicitated with "Manohar Kirloskar award".


She was also an Associate Professor of Pathology at D.Y. Patil Medical College, Maharashtra.


She gained neuropathology experience at NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences), Bangalore; TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai; Bombay Hospital Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York,USA.


Her areas of interest include oncopathology, neuropathology and immunohistochemistry.

She has been a speaker at various CME, conferences and webinars and has published papers in peer-reviewed international journals.


She is author of an internationally published book "Neuropathology of Brain tumors with Radiologic Correlates." The book was published by global- leading publisher, Springer and the book release was done by Governor of Maharashtra at Rajbhavan, Mumbai on 27th December, 2020.


This highly illustrated book explores the pathological and radiological diagnosis of various brain tumors. Featuring 900 high-quality colored images, it covers MR images, intra-operative squash cytology, histopathology and immunohistochemistry microphotographs of various brain and spine tumors, including differential diagnosis, as well as the molecular diagnosis and prognosis of each tumor. The book also presents case studies of typical and rare presentations, and introduces readers to a new procedure for intra-operative cytology: the modified fields stain, which stains the slide within 2 minutes, allowing quick, accurate reporting. This book uses concise text and a consistent point-wise format that makes reading and reviewing easy.


The radiological and pathological correlates of brain and spine tumors serve as a readyreference resource for residents, surgical and neuropathologists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists and research scientists.


She is a member of the Neuropathology Society of India Indian Association of Pathology and Microbiology and Midwest Neurosurgical Sciences Society.
